A Peruvian-American raised between Lima and New York City, Leo brings a bilingual, bicultural perspective to every project. He made his first film at 12, moved to NYC at 16 to study at the High School of Art and Design, and went on to train at Ghetto Film School — where his 2021 thesis film screened at Lincoln Center under the mentorship of director Wes Ball — and Reel Works. His early work earned a national Gold Medal at the Scholastic Art Awards, 1st place at the Disney/ABC Get Reel With Your Dreams competition, and coverage in the New York Post.
He holds a BA in Media Arts Production from Emerson College.
